From little acorns might Oak trees grow

The name acorn started as a joke. I was starting a Flash based system to manage animations which I was developing, and I needed some way of putting a serious sounding acronym on my system, which is an event based animation system with the ability control or manage asynchronous computational animations. I eventually linked it into perl and published the basic design concepts. It will take a little time to publish them again.
